Connect with other users
The first step to share data with other users or view their datasets is to make connections. You can only share data with users you are connected to. Please note that if you have connections with another user, both of you must create sharing rules to share specific datasets (sharing datasets and access rights)
Exception: you can share data with a group that contains users who are not part of your network. These users can view the specific datasets as long as they are members of the group. The datasets are only visible in the specific group.
To establish a connection with another user, you must take the following steps:
- Go to the Network page on the My connections tab.
- Click on the Create new connection under your profile picture.
- In the search bar, type the name or email address of the user. When you have found the right person, click on +.
Note: Users with a non-public profile can only be found by entering their full email address. - Wait for the other user to accept your connection request.
